At KARM, Volunteers are the heartbeat of our ministry. With the demands of 24 hour a day, 365 days per year care for those in desperate need coming through our doors, we could never staff to meet all those needs. So our volunteers are essential and very active in everything from serving meals, to maintaining our facilities, to mentoring our guests as they seek to move forward and re-engage in the community. Our mission is to be a place where God’s people can use their gifts, skills, and talents to impact the lives of the poor, needy and homeless of our community – where every person can grow in faith and obedience to the risen Lord!
Our goal is that every person who comes through our doors experiences the gospel, and this happens through our committed volunteers. Relationships develop, trust is built, and lives are restored. Whether it is through working directly with our guests or behind the scenes opportunities, KARM could not provide our guests a place of rescue and restoration without the time that our volunteers, the body of Christ, are so willing to offer.
Want to learn more? We offer the KARM Volunteer Encounter, a brief overview of KARM, its volunteer opportunities, and a tour of the facilities, every 2nd Tuesday and 4th Saturday. Our next KARM Volunteer Encounter is Saturday, February 27 at 10 a.m. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to register. And THANK YOU!
