Some of Nashville’s most talented young singers, songwriters, and performers will share the stories behind the songs during an evening of acoustic musical entertainment to benefit Knox Area Rescue Ministries. The event will be 6-8 p.m. on Sunday evening, April 17 at Cox Auditorium in the Alumni Building on the UT campus.
WIVK-FM is helping bring talented young artists Mo Pitney, Clark Beckham, Chuck Wicks, and Brandy Clark to Knoxville for the event. The artists will entertain in a casual acoustic setting, talking between sets, and discussing the background stories of their song lyrics. Several of the artists have participated in similar concert events to help the homeless in Nashville and elsewhere.
Tickets are now on sale for $20 each at www.knoxvilletickets.com. For ticket information, visit www.karm.org/feedtheneedconcert or call Lila Wilson at 865.633.7623. Parking on the UT campus near the event venue will be free during the event.
In addition, KARM is partnering with the new Smokey’s Pantry food pantry for college students in need at the Tyson House – the Episcopal and Lutheran student foundation on the UT campus. Concert guests and others are encouraged to bring a donation of a non-perishable food or personal care item for Smokey’s Pantry the night of the concert.
