2017 Dinner of Hope

Thank you for supporting us during  KARM ‘s 2017 Dinner of Hope Celebration.  With your help, we were able to raise more than $190,000 to care for those walking through our doors daily.  KARM is here to usher the homeless, poor, and needy into the presence of God.  Through your continued support of events like the Dinner of Hope, KARM is able to continue its ministry of overwhelming Biblical hospitality and continue to restore lives in Jesus’ name.
A special thanks to our featured speaker Emily Colson; Master of Ceremonies, Russ Biven; and to Terra Brown for sharing her testimony that evening.  We also want to thank our faithful sponsors: Home Federal Bank, Altar’d State, Southeast Spine and Pain Associates, Pilot Flying J, Strata-G, The Fisher McGlothin Group at Morgan Stanley and to Tennessee State Bank.

Please watch for details coming soon for Dinner of Hope 2018!

 Featured Speaker:
Popular author, speaker, and advocate
Emily Colson

Emily Colson is a popular speaker and author of the award-winning book, Dancing with Max. Emily has appeared on Focus on the Family and Hallmark’s Home and Family. In her book, Dancing with Max, Emily and her father, Chuck Colson, each share their journey while raising Max, Emily’s son with autism. Emily Colson wrote a beautiful, hope-filled true story of a young man who is unable to communicate the same way many others do because of autism. Yet he is able to communicate better than most about the important things in life.

Through Emily Colson’s powerful message found in Dancing with Max, Emily shares how her family has overcome  life’s obstacles through faith, love, and laughter. Colson’s Dancing with Max will make you laugh, make you cry, and inspire you to overcome your own challenges. Emily shares her experiences to reveal that a disability doesn’t have to define us rather it can reveal who we really are.

Emily enjoys speaking  as an advocate for the inclusion of families impacted by disabilities. She serves as a beacon of hope inspiring others to look beyond the challenges to see the gifts. When she has breaks in her busy schedule, she and Max live on the New England Coast where they can be found dancing.
