On Saturday, August 8th, a young man came into our store to shop and chat with us, as he has been in here a few times before.
While he was shopping and I was putting new merchandise on the shelf, he began asking me for relationship advice. As young as I am, I asked my coworker, Gayle if she would give some input, as she has more wisdom on that subject. She determined that his relationship with his girlfriend maybe failing because he hadn’t made God part of it.
The young man Brandon then teared up and asked if we could explain that to him a little bit more in depth. As we began talking, he realized he had never been saved and asked how you go about doing that.
We explained to him that being saved is admitting and accepting that you are powerless over your faults and sins and accepting Jesus Christ into your heart, as well as living everyday according to his word to the best of your ability.
Gayle, through her excellent display of love, understanding, patience, and compassion was able to touch Brandon’s heart so that he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior right here in the store. He then ate lunch with us and we talked about the steps he should take as a new Christian.
Hopefully we will hear an update on him soon.
