A new year to volunteer…

KNS3635640 2015 Best Of Knoxville logo_winnerIt’s a new year, and a new year to volunteer!

There are always an abundance of ways to volunteer to help those in need at the KARM main campus, at our Serenity Ministries, through our community events and fundraising events, and many other options.  KARM and the KARM Stores were humbled and honored to recently receive the Knoxville News Sentinel 2015 Best of Knoxville “Best Place to Volunteer” award.  We are very grateful for the trust placed in KARM in the East Tennessee community, and want to maintain the highest standards for volunteering, for serving in God’s kingdom, and for providing a healthy and nurturing volunteer opportunity for those who come wanting to share their gifts and talents to serve others here.

The best way to learn about how to volunteer at KARM is to come to a KARM Volunteer Encounter, a twice monthly presentation and tour of KARM which helps attendees determine their interests in potential areas of service at KARM.  The next KARM Volunteer Encounters are:

Tuesday, January 12  – 5:45p to 7p
Saturday, January 23 – 10a to 11:30a

Please let us know you’re coming by registering here or emailing volunteer@karm.org.

You can also learn more from the recent WBIR-TV story about volunteering at KARM here.  Or please visit www.karm.org/volunteer.

Currently at KARM we have immediate needs for:

  • Transporters/Drivers (car or van) for Serenity and main campus (any time during the day, Mon – Fri)
  • Administrative Support (telephone support, data entry clerks, mail processing) (Mon-Fri, anytime between 9AM & 5PM)
  • Customer Service (assistance in male & female dormitories) (Nightly, 6pm to 9pm)

We hope you’ll join us as we seek to rescue the poor and needy in Jesus’ name.
