KARM Stores Recognized as a 2026 USA Today Top Workplace
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – For the third year in a row, KARM Stores proudly earned a spot on USA Today’s Top Workplace list, highlighting the company’s core values of being trustworthy, team-minded, and teachable.
As one of only 408 organizations in the 500-999 employee category to receive this national recognition, KARM Stores is honored to be among the country’s best places to work. Top Workplaces are determined on quantitative employee feedback as well as the statements and demographic information collected by Energage within the Workplace Survey.
KARM Stores was one of 15 non-profit winners across the country, including one of four in the 500-999 employee category, and was one of nine organizations across the state and one of four in Knoxville to be named in its category. All winners can be found on USA Today’s website.
A two-time Knox News Top Workplace winner, we believe every team member plays a vital role in our mission. Together, we serve those facing homelessness, abuse, addiction, and mental illness in our community. At KARM Stores, we are proud to provide 100% of our profits to Knox Area Rescue Ministries to help restore the lives of our neighbors in need.
Every time someone donates, shops, or volunteers with KARM Stores, that impact is felt in the 340,000 meals served annually, with the 180-plus individuals who were able to find and maintain permanent and affordable housing last year, and by the more than 375 people who stayed with Knox Area Rescue Ministries on average each night in 2025.
Now with 27 locations across East Tennessee, KARM Stores has become a premier thrift destination thanks to our generous donor base. From popular brands and quality goods to one-of-a-kind vintage pieces, our customers find incredible value in clothing, furniture, and home décor all while fueling a life-changing mission.
