Knox Area Rescue Ministries hosts numerous events throughout the year. Some events, like the Dinner of Hope and the KARM Dragon Boat Festival, are fundraisers to carry on the ministry of KARM, since as a non-profit charity KARM receives no federal, state or United Way funding and is dependent on the generosity of donors and supporters to care for those we serve.
Many of our events are “give back” opportunities to serve the broader East Tennessee community. These include our annual Stuff the Backpacks school supplies drive, the Baskets of Hope Thanksgiving food collection, and the Coats for the Cold coat giveaway. These events may be considered homelessness prevention efforts, since the majority of those goods collected are given to any in our community in need, and distributed to other area organizations who serve the poor.

Would you be willing to collect cash donations to help the homeless, hungry and hurting?
